Letter from Banesa
Dear Beverly,
I hope you're fine. I'm fine. I'm happy to write you about my free time. I like to trip with my family. You asked me if I know a person of 100 years old and I know Antonio. He likes to ride a horse. I'm happy with the school, I pray the lord to give me wisdom, and I always pray to God to help me.
In my country there are beautiful beaches and some time ago I went with my family and had fun.
I pray for you and your family to be fine always.
Kisses, Banesa

Letter from Banesa
Dated 3/1614
Dear Beverly Sykes,
How are you doing? I hope you're doing well. I want to wish you many birthdays and may God bless you very much always.
I want to tell you I'm doing very well. How about you?
I hope to be very well in my studies, thanks God. I'll be in my final exams on May 24th and I think I will do excellent because I wish to pass my grade.
I had a wonderful time on Easter. How about you? I was on vacations in Santo Domingo at my grandmother's house, thanks God, and I had a lot of fun.
May God protect you every day.
Love and kisses,
Banesa

Letter from Banesa
Here's a form labeled "How I have fun"
During my free time, I like to play with my pet Susi in my spare time.
When I'm indoors I like to do my homework and my household chores.
When I am outside I like to help my friends.
One sport I like to play is to dance hula hoop
Dear Beverly Sykes,
Hello! How are you? I hope you are well. You asked me if I had pets inside of my house. Yes, I do. It's a very fun cat. We call him Susi. I really liked the photo you sent me when you were my age. I'm doing very well at school, thanks God. The subject I don't like is math. How did you do at Christmas? What are you planning to do on this new year? I hope you and your family do well.
The word of God says, "The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him and he delivers them." Psalms 34:1
May God always take care of you.
Yours,
Banesa

First Letter from Banesa
I took Banesa on to sponsor in August and finally received my first letter from her, dated 11/21/13! The first part answers questions about her learing, and then there is a personal message
My Project Learning: In my project I'm learning about God's word and many important things.
About my emotions I have learned not to let the world change your smile, but your smile changes the world.
About being polite and kind I have learned that we have to be honest and respectful of others.
About my community I have learned we have to take care of our community
Dear Bevery. Hello! How are you? I hope you are fine. I'm fine, thanks God, because every time I read your letters I feel I was living those moments with you. I'm happy because in December is my birthday and I'm planning to spending with my family.
You asked me if I know of baseall, well, I do, a little. In my country from October to January we have baseball season. I always think of you and pray for you so that God gives you everything you need, like in Philippeans 4:13, "I cn do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Merry Christmas.

Meet Banesa
It was with a heavy heart that I received the news that I would no longer be corresponding with Esther, from Indonesia. But it was for a good reason. She had aged out of the program, had graduated from school, and now has a job. She is going to be writing me a goodbye letter, and I wrote one to her.
The Compassion rep asked if I would like another child to write to, and of course I said yes. So I just received the information on Banesa, who is 11 years old and from the Dominican Republic.
She is one of five children and she loves to play with dolls and to sing.
She runs errands for her parents (both of whom are employed), and fetches water. Most of my compassion children have the task of carrying water, even the tiny one, which lets us know the problem of water in third world countries, where the water source is usually polluted, but the only place where they can get water.
I look forward to getting to know Banesa over the coming months.
