Dear Beverly Sykes,

I am very happy to write this letter to you in order to answer your interesting questions.  How are you and your family?  How are your activities?  Psalms 1 contains many good things that prevent you from falling into any Satan pit.

I am fine today, thanks to God.  Yes I heard about snowstorm before in Canada, where my older foster brother lives.  Yes, I dance tango.  It is one of my favorite dances following Rap dance.  I enjoy cooking.  I have been taught by mom.  My favorite food is rice and beans; beef and macaroni.  It tastes good.  I hoe you already taste it.  It is a succulent dish.

On the same occasion I wish you a Happy Mother's Day.  I encourage you to read Job story to increase your faith.

Dear Beverly Sykes,

It is a real pleasure for me to write you this letter. How are you and your activities going?  How is your family doingG?  Are they all alright?  To me, everything is going step by step.

I am ansering the questions you asked.  In Haiti all the things are going step by step.  Yes, it is always the midwife who helps in the giving birth in Haiti.

How do you celebrate the Easter by your side?

How is Brianna doing?  Does she still go to school?  What about your mommy?  I prayed for you and your family.  I hope you are very well.

Help me pray as I help you to pray too so I obtain my average for promoting to grade 9, if God's willing.  I encourage you to read Psalm 1.  It is by that verse I leave you.

Hello!  I feel happy to write you this letter.  I hope that you and your family are fine, thanks to god.  How are you, your family and your activities?  As for me, I am not very well because I was sick.  I got a fever and rheumatism.  I saw a doctor and I am under treatment.  I feel good to write you this letter.

In answer to your questions, yes, I sneeze especially when I get flu and cough.  My birthday has already ended; I had a nice party but it was not grandiose.  What about yours?  Have you ever sneezed?  How do you celebrate your birthday with your faioy?  Please pray for me so I can have more patience just like Solomon and that I can be intelligetn like the three men Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego.  Please pray for my schooling and temperance.  I will be praying so that God can bless you abundantly.

It's a real pleasure for me to write you this letter just to greet you and to answer your questions.  How are you?  Your activities?  and your family?  All of them are well, as for me, all is quie well.  I and my family are very well, thanks to God.  People in my house will all that is possible for me. Yes, I used to play with them [I don't have a clue what she is talking abut here!]

Please pray for me to have more patience and intelligence in all I do.  It is the same way I help you pray God to bless you much more.  Always encouraged to read this verse:  Exodus 14:14.  I leave with it and I wish you a Merry Christmas.

When I'll become older I would like to become a doctor, a gynecologist.

I have a lot of joy to write to you this letter today.  How are you?  I am doing well, by the grace of God.  How is the temperature in your area?  In my side, the temperature is hot.  Do you love when the temperature is hot?  Yes it is a special thing if God allows me to exist.  And I hope that there is someone else called Lovson in the world.

My family had a special day, thanks to God for the gift that He had given to us.  This day is Sunday.

My family has pet such as hens, dogs, ducks, and pigeon.  I thank you for the beautiful photo that you have sent to me and I was very nice.  I ask you to pray for my family and I for my school to go well.  I am praying for your family, especially for Ned to God to protect Ned in the surgery.  May God bless you!

I am very well, thanks to God.  I am glad to receive your letter and picture.  I am very well, thanks to God.  There are 25 students in my grade.  My teacher is named Milord.  I wear my school uniform.  I like to ride bike very, very much.  I play soccer during my school recess.  Please help me to pray for my school club and for my church.

Briana's center was in danger of being dropped by Compassion, but whatever the difficulties were, they have been resolved and I received a letter from her today.

Dear Beverly Sykes,

It's a great pleasure for me to write you.  How are you and your activities?  Here, I am going welll, thanks to God.  My mom always wakes me up to go to school.  First I review my lessons, comb my hair, take a shower, have my breakfast, and then go to school.  My days are always wonderful, thanks to God.

Yes, I like eating cherries but some are sweet and some are sour.

I got a pass mark of 7 out of 10 at school.  I took my Comprehensive final exams of elementary school.  I am waiting or the results so that I'll be promoted to 7th grade.  Please pray for me that God give more intelligence and patience in everything I do.  And I'll be praying for you, that God bless you in abundance.

Briana greets you in Jesus' name.  She asks how you and your family are.  Is your child, Brianna doing well?  She asks if your mother was totally recovered.  She says hello to everyone.  She is fine, thanks to God.  She had a great Christmas season with her family.  She asks how you have spent the Christmas holiday.

New Photo of Briana

I received a new picture of Briana, in Haiti today.

Someday I am going to get a picture where she is actually smiling.  That will be a happy day.

It hurts my heart to see those thin-thin-thin arms and legs.

I also discovered that Somai, from East India, who is a correspondent child, lost his financial sponsor.  Unfortunately, I can't afford to sponsor another child, so I had to tell them I could not take over the sponsorship, and thus I will lose him.  Makes me feel guilty, since now he goes back on the waiting list, but I can't do any more.

Briana warmly greets you and your family in the name of Jesus Christ and she is glad to write to you, hear from you, and to know if your mother is getting better.  She thanks you for the pictures, especially the one where you left her a place at the table.  She said that if she was invisible she would go to your house and sit at the table to celebrate with your family and play with Brianna and feed your dog, the one you love a lot. 

She would like to know where you go to church and if it is a baptist or a catholic one.  She always prays for you and your family so that God could give you strength, let you be healthy and protect you and she would like you to do the same for her.  She thanks you for the gift because she bought a beautiful dress with it and she was very glad about that.

How are you with Jesus? How are your children, your mother and your grandparents (I think he means grandchildren!)? Briana is going well with her family, thanks to God. She took the first term exam and she got an average of 7. Briana went to church, she sang a beautiful song. Everybody was happy to see her singing. Today there was a very nice letter from Briana in Haiti. I think it's a little confusing for her to keep all of our family relationships straight!

Warm greetings to you, Beverly Sykes. How are you doing with Jesus. Briana does not feel too bad, thanks to God. She was happy to get your letters. She was glad to see your children's photographs. One is 3 years old, the other has the same name as she does. She says Happy Birthday to Brianna with good appetite too!

She asks you to tell her what did you see in China? Is it a beautiful country and what do you like there? Did you visit the entire China.

The child got a good average. She advances to grade 6. Please pray that God may always guide everything.

Briana has a favorite song saying: What a friend we have in Jesus... She likes gospel music best.

There was a letter from Briana in Haiti today, a bit worrisome, but since it was mailed a couple of months ago, I guess it is probably OK now.

Briana greets you in the name of the living God. How are you and your family? She wishes you good health. She always asks yes when we are praying, to pray for you and your family. Briana has grade for the second term. She is in a music class. She was not too well last week. We went to hospital with her. Now she is healed, in Jesus' name.

Briana thanks you for the anniversary gift that you sent for her in January. We bought her a beautiful dress. Briana is very happy for your mother, who is 91 years old. She says that she has many cousins. Briana has ten cousins. But three of these spend rarely time with her. She is glad to see you love your mother.

Briana thanks you for the beautiful pictures. Every time she is home from school, before studying, she looks at the pictures. She says that she is praying for your child Ned and the new baby so that she always healthy.

It's always such a surprise to hear from Briana, who lives in Haiti. I took her on shortly before the earthquake and there has been such chaos in that country for the last year (even though she's in the north, which escaped damage), that I chalk up the irregular letters to that. So it was a delight to hear from her today.

Dear Beverly Sykes,

Briana greets you in God's name. How are you doing with your family? Today Briana is very happy to write you, by the grace of God. She is not too bad in spite of the cholera problem which have in Haiti. God protects all her family.

Briana did her exam for the first trimester, so she obtains a good grade of 6.99. She will have a nice Christmas with her family. She says you have prayed for her to have a nice Christmas and also for her to do good grades, the same way she will pray for you too, with your family.

She thanks you for the letters. She is very happy for the book. She sees Joseph, Mary and Jesus. To celebrate the birth of Jesus, Briana went to church.

Compassion's project will organize a nice feast for them in the 24th of December. She wishes you a happy Christmas. Briana is very happy to know that your step-mother (she means mother-in-law) is doing well, she is healing. Greet her for Briana.
