Dear Beverly Sykes,

I am very happy to write this letter to you.  How are you and your family going?  And your activities?  As for me, everything is going well, thanks to God.

Beverly, I was glad to receive your most recent letter and photos.  I especially liked the photo you took in the hairdressing room.  You look like our resident Michel Joseph Martelly.

Yes, I always take care of the place I sleep in.  I sleep in the waiting room.  I sleep alone.  I didn't use to hear about Limbo dance.

Beverly, please continue to pray for me and my family.  Also pray for my education and for the activities of the Center.  Me, I'll be praying for your activities to go well.  I pray the Lord blesses you.

Dear Beverly Sykes

I am so happy to write to you in the name of Jesus.  How are you?  How are your activities?  I was so happy to get your letters.  I want you to know I take part in a lot of activities in the church such as learn a lot of different subjects songs and Bible verse.  Your letters are always interesting to me.  I love reading them. 

I will have summer vacation in the end of June and I will have fun.  Do you usually go on summer vacation?  I will pray God for you with your family.  I hope God will bless you more.

Today, I am so pleased to be writing you this letter.  How are you doing and family?  I am doing very well, thanks to God.  How are doing your activities?  It is always with joy that I am writing you.  I was glad to gt your letter and the beautiful picture.  No, I don't hear about this game called "bowling"  Yes, it is me who use to take it  (him) in the Project.  Yes, there are vets here to take care of  the animals.  Yes, there are people to gather the trash.  There are several people that help people in the community as nurses. Yes,  have people who help me in the community.  No, I did not hear about the snow storm.  I am asking you to pray for my school and my church.  Thank you.

It is a pleasure for me today to write you this letter.  How are you, your family, and your activities?  As for me and my family, everything is doing well thanks to God. 

Yes, I will celebrate my birthday with my family and friends. On May I like most playing soccer with my friends.

In any picture I don't like looking at cat.  I see a flag in a picture. I am in a drawing class.  I take part iin club activities.  I succeeded in the past term exams.  Hopefully I will succeed in the last term exams left.

Today it is a pleasure which is in my heart for writing you this letter.  How are you and your family doing?  Are your activities going well?  Here, everyone is very well, with the Almighty God.  My activities are going well.  I was very happy for the letters and the nice pictures.  I love to look at them with my friends.  I have a little member of my family who is afraid of looking at the dog.

Yes, there is a day of Thanksgiving in my country that they use to thank God.  I would like to know the name of your dog.

I will be in the period of Easter.  The project has many competitions -- proverbs, verses, and competition of text (poem, poetry).  Do you like that kind of activities.  I stay there.  I wish that you always remember me in your prayers and my family too.  I pray for you and your family.  I love you very much.  May God bless you and all your family.

All my brothers and sisters are older than me.  I don't know that Bible story.  I like the hot weather.  Thanks for the letters, the information, and the great scriptures you sent me.

I wish that God make me have a good vacation.  I play soccer.  I am part of a team to go playing in another area.

I  thank you for your prayers.  I am glad to see the picture of your granddaughter that is dancing.  The pictures you have enclosed are very beautiful.  I was glad to get the pictures and the letter where they were dancing the dance that Lacie llikes.

I have succeeded in school.  I will be in Grade 5 with happy heart.

I am letting you know that I am doing well, praise God.  How are you and your activities doing?  I was glad to receive your letter and the picture.  You were sitting on a chair and wearing a red dress.  I saw the people in the party.  I always invite my friends and my family in for my birthday to celebrate with me.

I had a great Flag Day celebration on May 18.  What do you like to do in your life?  I like to go to church and to school.  I go to church every Sunday.  We celebrate Mother's Day on the last Sunday of May every year.

Finally a Letter from Miche!

I say "finally" and add an "!" because I sponsored this kid about eight months ago, but his first letter, which came in January, was supposed to be in an envelope I received, but the envelope only had a form for me to answer his letter, no letter was included.  They couldn't find the letter and it has taken this long to get another letter from him.  It is dated 4/12/13.  But it was worth waiting for.

I always come to the club.  I attend Wesleyan church and I go there every Sunday morning.  I like to play football with my 3 brothers and 4 sisters.  I pray that God will bless you.

No letter from Miche

I was very disappointed that I apparent received a letter from my new child, Miche, in Haiti, but the envelope came without the letter.  They are going to try to find a copy but it will take 8 weeks before I have it, if it exists.  :(

Meet Miché

I received a packet about Miché today.  He is a new correspondence child, to replace Somai, who lost his sponsor. 

Miché is from Haiti.  He is 10 years old and lives with both parents.  His job duties include carrying water and caring for animals.  His father is sometimes employed as a farmer and his mother is sometimes employed as a seller at the market.  There are six children in the family.

Soccer, playing with marbles and playing group games are Miché's favorite activities.  In primary school his performance is above average (the first of my children ever to be above average in school) and he also attends church activities and Bible class.

I look forward to getting to know him better.
