Christian Greetings.  How are you?  Hope and pray that God will fine in your life.  By the way, what is the most difficult subject of Brianna?

Last April 27-30 we have juniors camp.  Our theme is stand up for Jesus.  I learned many things about God.  Lots of games and every night we have group competition.  This coming June I will also be in Grade six.  I"m so excited to see all my classmates, so please pray for m health and my studies.  God bless!

Once again I would like to say hello to all of you.  About me, I'm OK, by God's grace. I saw the snows that is very t hick.  Yes, we also have community helpers. 

By the way, what is the name of Brianna's friend?  Who teaches them how to cook?  I'm so very proud of her.

January 22, 2015 I join playground demonstration in our school with all my classmates.

Hi, hello to all of you.  Hope that you are in good health.  Thank God for his faithfulness in my family.  Last July 19 we brought our eldest brother to the hospital because of dehydration and stomach ache, but he's okay, by God's help.

Christian greeting!!

First of all,  thank you so much for the Christmas gift that you sent me that worth 555.52 last December.  Thank you also for your letter and I enjoyed reading it and watching your pictures.

I attended our Junior's Camp and I learned and I knew that I am a child of God.  I understand everything when I joined this camp.

What is Brianna's favorite food?

Ourclass will start this June and I will move to grade 5.

Dear Auntie Sykes

Once again thank you for your letter and for the picture that you sent to me.  I am so happy to read it together with my mother.  How are you there?  Hope that you are in good health.  We are praying that God will bless your work.  How is your weather condition?  Here our weather is windy and every morning we're so cold.

About my family is still ok.  We go to church every Sunday.

This January I join our playground demonstrations in school for our city feast.

Letter from Fred!!

This letter, dated November 23, is the first I've heard from Fred since Typhoon Haiyan hit the Philippines.  I had received word from Compassion that he and his family were all right but it took this long to get word from him.  I love how matter of fact he is about the storm.

Thank you for praying for me.  We had a typhoon here but we are okay.  My health is okay.  My weight is 24.3 kg and my height is 132 cm.  I always go to Sunday School.  I like horses.  We are 30 students inside the classroom.  My teacher is Mrs. Arroyo.

My heart skipped a beat when I saw this letter from Fred, because I have not had official information about him and his family following the typhoon.  But then I saw that it was dated September 27, 2013, when nobody knew what horror was about to descend on his country.

Thank you for the birthday gift that you gave me.  I received an amount of 1,032.25 [in Philippine currency].  I bought biscuits, clothes and a watch.  I wear my clothes when I go to church.

I like our Division Achievement Test in school.  My favorite subject is math and I got 26 scores out of 30 items.  My schooling is fine.   What was your favorite subject when you are still a student?

Wonderful Letter from Fred!

It was such a wonderful surprise to open my mail today and find this photo of Fred and his family.  His father is holding little newborn Direk and his sisters are Danice and Diana.  It came with this letter:

Thank you for the gift I received.  I received a family gift worth 1,027.75 pesos (about $25)  We spent the money for the hospital bill when my mother gave birth.  My new sibling is a boy.  His name is Direk.

I like durian.  Thank you for the Peter Pan book.  I like the song "Pasko na Naman" means "It's Christmas again."  Thank you for praying for my mother.  Please ray that I will be a good brother. Do you like babies?  I really like that we have a baby.

Letters from Fred and from Shallon are my favorites, because they actually seem like letters and not something someone has told them to write.  Here is my letter from Fred today.

Dear Auntie Sykes,

I thank you so much.  I played during our semestral break.  I like hide and seek. 

My mother has a bigger stomach because the baby inside is growing.  I also grew in height and I have no sickness.  How about your health?  Don't you have any sickness even though it is cold there? 

I'm so excited about our Christmas party.  My mother and father will have a seminar.

Please pray that mother's delivery will be fine and I will be more kind too.

I am learning about the 12 disciples.  I like Noah's story.  Thank you for everything.

What a great letter I received from Fred today, thanking me for his birthday gift, which he used to buy a basketball.  I've been hoping he could get a basketball since he loves the sport so much.  The nicest thing  was that the letter came with a great photo.

Hi!  Thank you for your letter and stickers.  My height now is 127.5 cm and I weigh 22.4 kg.  The baby in my mother's tummy is bigger now.  My father is still not here because he is on vacation.  I never ate cherry.  We have more durian here.  Do you like to eat durian?

In our school I like to learn more about places.

I do miss the letters written by Fred's parents, which give a better picture of his life, but it's also fun to hear from Fred directly.  This is a form about his favorites, where he either circles his favorite things or draws a picture.  So I know his favorite game is hide and seek, his favorite animals are dogs and birds, his favorite cartoon character is Spiderman, and his favorite sport is basketball.

Dear Auntie Sykes,

I will be in grade three this opening of classes.  During the camp, I went home every night and I just went back to the camp during the day.  I was so happy.  I am so kind to my mother and father and also to the teachers here in the church.  I joined the Daily Vacation Bible School.
