Atta is the woman in Ghana to whom I have made my latest KIVA contribution.In the picture, Atta has some fried donuts which she sells in the community of Dompoase near Elmina in Cape Coast. She is married and has two children. Her husband is a teacher.
She has been selling donuts for nine years. She assists her husband in providing for the basic needs of her family. Her loan will be used to buy flour, sugar, cooking oil, and other ingredients to fry donuts for sale. She wishes to use the new profits from her business to save towards the university education of her children.
Hey...I won't pass up an opportunity to support ANYBODY who sells donuts!
